CERTIFIED TRAFFIC SURVIVAL CLASSES

Need to complete Traffic Survival School (TSS)? Get your driving privilege back with the right TSS course.

If you are required to attend Traffic Survival School in Arizona in order to maintain your driving privilege and not risk suspension of your driver’s license, UP2SPEED Traffic School can help.

Who has to attend Traffic Survival School?

Anytime you are convicted of a moving traffic violation, points are assessed against your permanent driving record. Accumulate 8 or more points in any 12-month period, and you may be required to attend TSS. Otherwise, your license may be suspended for up to 12 months.

Do you meet one (or more) of these criteria?

  • You’ve accumulated 8-12 points on your record.

  • You’ve been convicted of a DUI.

  • You’ve been convicted of a red light or stop sign violation.

  • You’ve been convicted of reckless or aggressive driving.

  • You’ve been convicted of a moving violation resulting in serious injury or death.

  • You’re under 18 and have been convicted of your first moving violation.

You will have received a Corrective Action Letter/Proof of Assignment indicating that you must complete TSS. Be sure to bring this letter to class, along with your government-issued photo ID; otherwise, you won’t be allowed into class.

What is TSS?

Traffic Survival School or TSS, is an eight-hour class that is monitored by Arizona’s Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) and must be taken in person—there isn’t an online option.

Beyond the basics, TSS courses at UP2SPEED Traffic School will teach you how to avoid dangerous driving situations and the precautions you need to take to protect yourself and others.

How should I choose a TSS class?

Here’s what you should look for when selecting a TSS class:

Arizona MVD-Certified or MVD-Licensed:Make sure to look for a school that carries this credential. If you complete a TSS course that isn’t Arizona MVD-certified or MVD-licensed, the MVD will not recognize your course completion.

Qualified, Experienced Instructors: In addition, look for a school that only uses professional instructors who have completed background checks and fingerprint clearances. UP2SPEED Traffic School’s instructors and trainers are all former educators, law enforcement officers or transportation specialists who have extensive experience in the classroom and on the road. Many of our instructors are also bilingual.
